Bottle Neck Blues Guitar . Cajun Bottleneck . Dublin Busking. Youtube

December 1, 2007

Every so often you come across some busker or street musician who is just too good for the street alone. I shot this footage a few months ago and posted it on Youtube so if you haven’t seen it here’s your chance.

And while I’m at it here’s a lady doing

…Brilliant! Absolutely fantastic! I’ll admit it, that clip had me up’and dancing around the room like a dervish!
I don’t know an awful lot about this style of music, but I know that I like it!

Thank you again for all you comments…I’ll be checking out that video..”See no Evil”.

    You’re welcome.

Yes, I think it’s still available on YouTube… I only wish that See no Evil (and Longford for that matter) were available on R2 DVD; I shouldn’t complain though, thankfully I have them on recorded video.

I wouldn’t say that I am too good to be in the streets but sometimes that’s the reaction I get from people passing by, yet I think that that’s because they think that good stuff shouldn’t be on the streets. I on the other hand think that more good stuff should be on the streets because that’s the way to reach people and have a constant audience, as brief as it may be, don’t you think so? this are the kinds of performers that just make your day when visiting a downtown. I have a blog dedicated to the busking experiences in the borderland of El Paso Tx and Juarez Mexico, I wish there were more musicians like the one on your video over here…

Thank you Ramon for the comment. I really just meant that as a figure of speech…some of the best I’ve heard have in fact been on the street…you didn’t give the name of your web site…let us know the name as I’m sure lots of people would like to check it out…

Great post. I’ve been searching for this exact information for a while now. I’ll bookmark it in the public bookmarking sites to get you more traffic.

  8. Hey, found your site by accident doing a search on Google but I’ll definitely be coming back. As for your post… I more or less agree with a lot of what you’re talking about but wouldn’t it be just as easy to figure out another way to go about it? I mean why muddle with your quality of life if you don’t have to?
